We are an older couple looking for a quiet, scenic spot to spend a few days next fall. Does anyone have any knowledge of Sourdough Lodges in Lowman? Their website looks good. Thank you.
Sourdough Lodge
Hi, I haven%26#39;t been to Lowman for years, but it was always one of my favorite places. You do need to know that a fire came through there many years ago and wiped out a lot of the area%26#39;s trees. It looks from the pictures that the trees are still intact around the Sourdough Lodge.
Another place you might consider is the Sawtooth Lodge in Grandjean. It%26#39;s even farther off the beaten path than Lowman!

how about the danners cabins in stanley. we LOVE it there and oh, so quiet
Charley, I hoped you%26#39;d add that -- I couldn%26#39;t remember the name of the cabins! I%26#39;m going to make a point to stay there next year.

oh pug, you must. the stanley bakery has the best food and now is restoring the old stanley hotel...a few rooms and dinner. they had been doing dinner at the bakery, but now they are moving dinner to the hotel. the owners are wonderful and work EVERY day and night there. refreshing. there is also a wonderful new coffee place TRILLIUM, with a great owner Jamie. she has converted her garage into a space that has great energy and decor. she is open all winter, which is nice when you just have to drive to stanley!!!
so stanley is getting even nicer, we were just there.
