My family (myself, husband, 11 and 17 yr old kids, each with one friend) will be doing a two week RV trip middle June from california to Yellowstone and GTNP. I want to spend a few nights in Idaho during the trip to YS, and would love some advice. Which falls are the best see? Which rocks? Which hot springs?
need advice
When the water isn%26#39;t being diverted because of irrigation, Shoshone Falls outside of the city of Twin Falls is the best falls to see. It is higher than Niagara Falls at over 200 ft. June is an iffy time because on certain days they don%26#39;t divert so tourists can see the falls at their height.
That being said, to see a splendid falls that is not impacted by agriculture, I would suggest Mesa Falls, which is on the Mesa Falls Scenic Byway north of Ashton, Idaho.
Idaho has tons of interesting rocks, but with kids I would suggest Craters of the Moon. Lots of caves to explore and cinder cones to climb up.
Another favorite spot of mine is the swimming at Easley Hot Springs, north of Sun Valley. Enjoy your trip!
