We are headed to sun valley for the first week in jan. two kids and hubby. I don%26#39;t really ski, the kids do and my husband grew up skiing. I want to stay somewhere where i can do other things a couple of days if I only want to ski a 1/2 day or skip some days all together. The main big hotel is booked up.
I am more the resort, spa sort of person when I have a vacation and really have no interest in cooking meals while on vacation. I guess I want luxury but not sooo expensive. Is this possible?
Are there any other nice hotels beside the main large one?
Are there trails on bald mountain for beginners or do you need to go to Dollar Mt. Are there trails for them on dollar mountain since we will have one car.
advice for sun valley trip
Hi....have you tried the Sun Valley Inn? It is really close to the main Lodge and doesn%26#39;t feel up as quickly as the Lodge does. Or maybe a condo by the Lodge? You might want to try one of the property management companies for a condo-Premier Resorts and Resort Quest are the two bigger ones in town. Every January, there are specials in town that let kids ski free.
The only true beginner trail on Bald Mt. is Lower River Run, so if you really do have beginners, start on Dollar. There are great beginner and intermediate runs there. There is a free shuttle around town that goes to Bald Mt. and Dollar Mt. as well.
