silerwood and info

we are planning a camping trip this summer up in that area. I am thinking two days at the park. One day for rides the other for the water park. Should we do one or two days? Is there any were to get discounted tickets or coupons? Any other suggestion for the area. We are camping at round lake for 58 days. One last question is the park really busy mid-week. I firgured it would be less busier midweek then weekends. Thanks again

Hi, unless you find a great deal on a two day pass I would only spend one day at Silverwood, go early, leave for lunch, don%26#39;t eat in the park, eat in Athol or pack a picnic then come back after lunch and stay late. It will most likely be less busy midweek then weekends, I would check the weather forecast and go on the warmest day midweek in order to enjoy the waterslides and remember your sunblock, apply often!

thanks for the info

We were there last summer. I believe our 2 day passes were $55 per adult (teenagers pay adult price). We found discounted tickets at the Costco in CDA afterwards :( But I believe they were only $5 or so cheaper. We had a great time for two days. You can easily spend a whole day in the water park, if your family enjoys water.

If you are going to be camping, I would strongly suggest you look into Farragut State Park. It%26#39;s about 7 miles from Silverwood - east of Athol - and is really beautiful. I have some pictures on my website from our trip, if you want to have a look.

There is also camping onsite at Silverwood, with the advantage being you don%26#39;t have to worry about driving or parking. But the campground is not very large and books up quickly.

It%26#39;s not terribly crowded during the week, but you%26#39;ll want to be there about half an hour before opening time in order to park and get into the park without wasting a lot of time.

We ate in the park and enjoyed the food and didn%26#39;t find it too expensive, in comparison to some other tourist places.

Oh, I just re-read your post and see that you have your camping lined up already. I am still going to leave the camping info in my reply, as it may be useful to others planning a camping trip to the area.

Something else you might be interested in doing is making a drive to Wallace. It is about an hour%26#39;s drive east of CDA. Wallace is a historic town and is a great way to spend an afternoon without spending a ton of money.

campinggirl,

Thanks for the reply. We turned down sliverwoods campground and were you stayied because the id state park lady said roundlake was the place to be. I guess round lake is close to sandpoint, so not far from sliverwood. She said to visit farragut and stay at round due to less rv%26#39;s and fewer poeple. It sounds like a great campground as well. I enjoyied your pictures, thanks for sharing. We will have to check out wallace. We arrive on a sunday and leave Friday. I firgue that%26#39;s time for the park and to explore the area. Any more tips would be great. Thanks again to you and fun mom

Just reading your request. We are planning to head to Silverwoods July 3rd - we have been there in Aug 2006 and did have a good time. My husband heard on KHQ6 news they have discount tickets at Burger King. You may want to check it out - let me know as I have yet to find any info via internet. We are from Alberta and unsure if it is only available for US citizens. Any other questions just email.
