Hello,
My husband, myself and our four year old are planning to stay near Coeur d%26#39;Alene in September.
Instead of staying in a hotel, we are looking for either a vacation home or kitchenette style cabin. The only ones I%26#39;m able to find are $300-$400/night. Thats a bit rich for our budget. Does anyone know of any reasonablely priced accomadations for us. We%26#39;d like to stay fairly close to Coeur d%26#39;Alene.
Thanks

I can%26#39;t offer any specific recommendations, but hopefully others will come along and add something.
Just in case you haven%26#39;t found these sites, here are a few that offer vacation cabins/condos/resorts in the area. I looked through briefly and there are definitely some choices much cheaper than what you%26#39;re finding.

You might want to consider the cabins at the two Idaho State Parks near Coeur d%26#39; Alene. Heyburn State Park is located about 40 miles south of Coeur d%26#39; Alene and Farragut is located about 30 miles north of Coeur d%26#39; Alene. Both are very nice State Parks with access to lakes. The cabins vary with Farragut having cabins with minimal facilites and Heyburn having a variety of cottages/cabins. Web Site is: www.parksandrecreation.idaho.gov
I know the hotels the best, but I know that Hayden Hideaway has cabin/condo, kind of rentals, not sure what the price is. They can be reached at 208-762-7715. Hopefully this helps a little.

You might consider the Flamingo Hotel in downtown Coeur d%26#39;Alene. It%26#39;s a clean, budget motel that has some large family units. I just checked their site and there is only one unit listed with a kitchen, but there MIGHT be other with kitchenettes. The rate for the kitchen room is $160 per night. Before we moved to Coeur d%26#39;Alene, and were making many trips over to scout the area, this was our ';motel of choice'; with our young son because it was reasonably priced, close to everything, and clean %26amp; quaint.
